Create your vendor account

  • Choose your Store Category (vendor type).

List products/services with the required specs

  • Add a clear listing with price and required specs (grade/moisture/packaging/min order), plus pickup province and delivery option.

  • Upload 2–3 clear photos (product/label). Accurate details = faster bids and fewer issues.

Negotiate & Verify

  • Chat & agree terms: Use in-app messages/RFQs to confirm price, quantity, grade/specs, pickup dates, and transport before ordering.

  • Verify authenticity: Exchange evidence (photos, labels, weighbridge/lab results) and check vendor verification/KYC so both sides are confident.

Deliver & Get Paid

  • Fulfil the order: Arrange pickup/transport, deliver as agreed, and upload proof (POD/receipt/photos if available).

  • Release of funds: Buyer confirms delivery in-app; payout is released to your bank/Mobile Money (minus fees).

How payments work (Mobile Money)

  • Secure checkout: Buyers pay in ZMW through an accredited mobile money gateway (e.g., major Zambian wallets). They approve the charge on their phone (PIN/USSD/app). We never see or store PINs.

  • Funds held until delivery: Once paid, the amount is authorised and held (escrow-style). The order shows as Payment Authorised in your dashboard. Money isn’t released to the vendor until the buyer confirms delivery or the acceptance window expires (for perishables this window may be shorter, as stated on the order).

  • Payouts to you: After acceptance, the gateway releases funds net of the nominal transaction fee to your chosen payout method (bank account or mobile money wallet), following the posted payout schedule. An active vendor subscription (50 ZMW/year) is required to receive payouts.

  • Refunds & disputes: If an order is cancelled or a dispute is upheld, the gateway refunds the buyer to the same mobile money wallet. While a dispute is open, funds remain on hold.

  • Security & compliance: Payments are processed over encrypted connections; approvals occur within the mobile money ecosystem. We follow KYC and anti-fraud checks and keep detailed receipts for auditing.

Listing fees are billed for 0.20 USD, so if your bank’s currency is not USD, the amount in
your currency may vary based on changes in the exchange rate.

How do fees work on Zam Farm To Market?

  • Vendor subscription: 50 ZMW per year to access the vendor dashboard, list products/services, and receive payouts.

  • Transaction fee: A small fee per successful order (including transport jobs). It’s deducted from your payout only after the buyer confirms delivery (or the acceptance window passes). No sale = no fee.

  • Gateway processing: Payments run through a mobile money gateway. Any gateway charges are shown at checkout and reflected in your settlement.

  • Payouts: You’re paid net of the transaction fee (and any gateway charges) once the order is accepted.

  • Refunds/Disputes: If an order is refunded, charges are adjusted to the final settled amount.

Example: Sell 10 bags at your set price → buyer pays via mobile money → delivery accepted → we deduct the nominal transaction fee and release the net amount to your bank or mobile wallet.

What do I need to do to create a shop?

  1. Register as a vendor

    Go to /vendor-registration/, choose your Store Category (Farmer, Aggregator, Transporter, Input Supplier), and create your account.

  2. Activate your subscription (50 ZMW/year)

    This unlocks the vendor dashboard, store page, RFQs, and payouts.

  3. Complete KYC

    • Individuals: NRC.

    • Companies: PACRA & TPIN.

    • Transporters: add vehicle docs/insurance if applicable.

  4. Set up your store profile

    Store name, logo/banner, pickup province/district, phone/WhatsApp, and brief bio or trading hours.

  5. Add payout details

    In Settings → Payments, add your Mobile Money wallet or bank account.

  6. Publish your first listing

    Add products/services with required specs (grade/moisture/packaging/min order), price per unit, province, and delivery option. Upload 2–3 clear photos.

  7. Submit & go live

    After verification, your store appears in the marketplace and you can start receiving orders.

Getting started

  • How long does approval take? Usually same day once KYC and subscription (50 ZMW/year) are complete.

  • Can I switch my vendor type? Yes—request via Support; we may re-verify docs.

  • Can I sell in multiple product categories? Yes. Your Store Category is your vendor type, but you can list in any allowed product category.

Listings & standards

  • Minimum info for a listing? Price, pack size, required specs (grade/moisture etc.), min order, province, delivery option, and 2–3 photos.

  • Can I edit a live listing? Yes—price/stock/specs can be updated; changes apply to new orders only.

  • Any restricted items? Yes—unapproved chemicals, wildlife products, firearms, counterfeit goods, and regulated items without permits.

  • How are ratings/reviews handled? Buyers rate after delivery; repeated policy breaches lower visibility.

Disputes & refunds

  • How long can buyers dispute? Typically 48 hours from delivery (shorter for perishables if stated).
  • What evidence is needed? Photos, weights, lab/moisture results, order notes.
  • Who decides outcomes? We review evidence and may refund, split, or release funds per policy.

Account & verification

  • What KYC is required? NRC for individuals; PACRA & TPIN for companies; transporters need vehicle docs/insurance.

  • Why was my store paused? Missing KYC, policy breach, or safety concerns—check email/dashboard notices.

  • How do I close my account? Request via Support; we’ll settle outstanding orders/payouts first.

How do I get paid?

  1. Set up your payout method

    In Vendor Dashboard → Settings → Payments, add your Mobile Money wallet or bank details and complete KYC. An active vendor subscription (50 ZMW/year) is required to receive payouts.

  2. Buyer pays via mobile money

    When an order is placed, the payment is authorised and held securely (escrow-style) until delivery is confirmed.

  3. Delivery accepted → payout released

    After the buyer confirms delivery (or the acceptance window expires with no dispute), we release your payout in ZMW, minus the nominal transaction fee (and any gateway charges), to your selected payout method per the payout schedule shown in your dashboard.

  4. Disputes & refunds

    If a dispute is opened, funds remain on hold until it’s resolved. Approved refunds are returned to the buyer; your payout reflects the final settled amount.

You can track every step (authorised → released) in Dashboard → Earnings/Orders, with transaction IDs and downloadable statements.

Do I need a credit or debit card to create a shop?

No. You can create a vendor account and activate your shop without a card.

  • Subscription (50 ZMW/year): Pay via mobile money at checkout.

  • Payouts: Receive earnings to your mobile money wallet or bank account.

We don’t store card or PIN details; all payments are handled securely by the mobile money provider.

What can I sell on Zam Farm To Market?

You can list legal, compliant agricultural goods and services in these categories:

  • Cereals & Pulses: Maize (white/yellow), Rice (paddy/milled), Wheat, Sorghum (white/red/brown/malt), Millet; plus bran/flour/by-products.

  • Oilseeds & Oil Crops: Soybeans, Sunflower, Groundnuts, Sesame; cakes/meals.

  • Horticulture & Leafy Veg: Tomatoes, onions, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers; rape, kale, spinach, cabbage, amaranth, pumpkin leaves.

  • Fruits & Nuts: Mango, banana, avocado, citrus, pineapple, watermelon, berries; macadamia/cashew where available.

  • Livestock & Animal Products: Cattle, goats, pigs, poultry, eggs, honey/beeswax; dairy only with proper licences.

  • Fisheries: Fresh/smoked/dried fish, kapenta; fingerlings (inputs).

  • Processed/Value-Added: Maize meal, flours, peanut butter, sunflower oil, dried veg/fruit, sauces/jams.

  • Agri Inputs: Seeds, fertiliser, approved crop protection, tools/equipment, irrigation, post-harvest supplies, PPE.

  • Transport & Logistics Services: Route-based transport (1–30t, reefer), cold-chain, handling/weighbridge.

  • Farm Services: Tractor/ploughing, harvesting, grading/sorting/packaging, storage/warehousing, soil testing & agronomy.

Not allowed: illegal/unsafe items, counterfeit goods, unapproved chemicals/pesticides, wildlife products, firearms/ammunition, or anything requiring permits without valid documentation. Some categories (e.g., dairy/meat) may require extra licences/KYC.

Payments & fees

  • How do I pay the subscription? Mobile money at checkout (no card required).

  • When are payouts made? After buyer accepts delivery (or acceptance window ends).

  • What’s deducted? The nominal transaction fee (and any gateway charges). Subscription is annual.

Shipping & logistics

  • Who arranges transport? Either party—or book a Transporter on the platform.

  • Do you support cold chain? Yes—list as Reefer under Transport; perishables may have shorter acceptance windows.

  • What proof should I keep? Photos, labels, weighbridge slip, waybill, and Proof-of-Delivery (POD).
